Anadolu Agency’s 18th war journalism program kicks off

The 18th War Journalism Training Program organized by Anadolu Agency, in collaboration with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Turkish Police Academy, started on Monday.

During the training, 22 journalists from Azerbaijan will be trained on how to survive in crises and war-torn conflict zones while reporting under emergency situations.

The 12-day program includes 108 hours of lessons such as personal security, first aid, natural disasters, the law of war, advanced driving techniques, surviving in water, and chemical and biological attacks.

The lessons will be taught by expert academics and professional security personnel, and real ammunition will be used during the program such that the reporters learn through authentic experiences.

Those who successfully complete the program will be awarded with internationally recognized certificates.

Since 2012, a total of 327 journalists, including 118 foreign journalists, have attended the war journalism training.
